Sibella Laing has a history degree at Cambridge University. She and her husband studied Arabic at the Middle East Centre for Arabic Studies in Lebanon and has lived and worked most of her married life in the Middle east, enabling her to develop an extensive understanding of, and love for, the history, peoples, and societies of that region.
