During the riding season our group ride outs are for experienced motorcyclists only who have held a motorcycle licence for at least 5 years.
During the riding season, once a month, a nominated group member will specify a rendezvous, midpoint and destination for a “B road bimble” on your favourite machine. Typically, this will involve lunch, coffee or a picnic. If the weather is poor on the day this may truncate to just lunch or a coffee.
Wintertime, once a month we arrange a group meeting for a vaguely petrol headed presentation or a team visit (by car?) to a venue of interest; or maybe just lunch!
Hopefully, we’ll occasionally team up with the aviation and/or the classic car groups for a joint event.
There’s also a “B Road Bimblers” Whatapp group for any member to put out a last minute invitation for a ride out. If you’d like to be included in the WhatsApp group please message the group leader motorbike@u3ainkennet.org.uk with your NAME and MOBILE NUMBER.
Finally, we work on the assumption that each member is an experienced motorcyclist and knows what they’re doing. Responsibility for road safety, legal compliance, and navigation rests entirely with each individual rider. Decisions as to the suitability of weather and road conditions rests entirely with each rider.

All are welcome. If you’re up for giving a presentation on any subject vaguely connected with motorcycling, adventure travel or classic collections we’re keen to hear from you. If you have access to a venue we could use to meet (just once or occasionally) please get in touch.
